In accordance with Act No. 236, a business must be registered and found in good standing with the South Carolina Secretary of State’s Office in order to register for the SC State Business Reentry Program and receive a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). There are three categories of businesses that are not required to register with the Secretary of State’s Office and therefore, will not receive an MOA: Sole Proprietorships, General Partnerships, and Federal Banks.
While they will not receive a MOA, they can be added to the Emergency Support Function (ESF) – 24 Business & Industry disaster update listserv. To be added to the listserv, please send an e-mail to esf24@emd.sc.gov with the company name, contact name(s), county, and contact email address and phone number you would like added.
We highly recommend reaching out to your local emergency management office, as some counties have their own local reentry programs.
